Welcome to Finding Joy Counseling
Finding Joy in Everyday Life
Life can be overwhelming at times. Whether you’re carrying the weight of anxiety, grief, stress, or simply feeling stuck, you don’t have to face it alone. Seeking counseling is not a sign of weakness, it’s a courageous step toward healing and growth. Whether you're carrying the weight of trauma, anxiety, grief, or a season you didn't see coming, you don't have to face it alone.
Life can be heavier than anyone realizes. Whether you're carrying the weight of trauma, anxiety, grief, or a season you didn't see coming, you don't have to face it alone.
I'm Kate Massey, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and author of Purpose in the Pain. My practice in Seneca, SC offers in-person Christian counseling for adults and teens (14+) who want both clinical expertise and biblical grounding in their healing.
I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. For clients who want it, faith becomes part of the work. For those who don't, I respect that, and the care is no less rooted in evidence-based methods.
Sessions are 50 minutes. The standard fee is $150. I don't accept insurance, and starting July 1, 2026, sliding fees are available through The Grace Scale for clients whose financial circumstances would otherwise stand in the way of care.
“In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:23-24
Fee Transparency
Sessions are 50 minutes. The standard fee is $150, paid at the time of service. We do not accept insurance, so we can offer longer sessions, faith integration for clients who want it, and full confidentiality without a billing diagnosis on your record.
Starting July 1, 2026, we also offer The Grace Scale, a sliding-fee program that adjusts session costs based on your household size and income. Because everyone deserves access to faithful, compassionate care, and financial circumstances should never stand in the way of healing.
